 Turmeric tea

Turmeric tea, brewed using grated turmeric root or pure powder, is considered one of the most effective ways to consume the spice. Similar to golden milk, turmeric tea provides good-for-you anti-inflammatory compounds that provide a range of health benefits. And it just tastes good!


Turmeric tea can be prepared from either pure turmeric powder or grated or ground, dried turmeric.

Turmeric 

Turmeric is an spice comes from turmeric plant.It is one of the most important spice in Asian food and most probably main spice in most of the dishes. Turmeric contain  an bioactive substance called curcumin. Both turmeric and curcumin has scientifically proven health benefits.

Black Pepper

Black pepper, which contains piperine, a chemical known to help promote curcumin absorption, and that can add a spice flavor to the tea.





Ginger

Ginger has so many health benefits.One of the most important function among those benefit is it improves immune function. It is also enhance antioxidant and antimicrobial properties and improves the taste of the turmeric tea.



Lemon

As we all know that  lemon is an rich source of vitamin c , hence it boost our immunity.Along with ginger it  enhance antioxidant and antimicrobial properties and improves the taste of the turmeric tea.



Is it good to have turmeric tea every day?

Turmeric contains lipopolysaccharides, endotoxins that boost immunity and lower the risk of colds, flu, and other infections.

Is turmeric tea aids in weight loss?

Turmeric tea increases metabolism by fastening the digestion process. Hence it promotes weight loss. The bioactive substance curcuminoid present in turmeric suppresses the growth of fat tissues, thereby helps in losing weight.

Ingredients

1 Glass of water
1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
1/8 tsp of  crushed black pepper
1/8 tsp of cinnamon powder
Palm sugar as per your taste
1 tsp lemon juice 
1 tsp of grated ginger

Steps

  1. Keep a saucepan on medium flame. Pour a glass of water.

  2. Add turmeric powder, crushed black pepper, grated ginger, cinnamon stick or powder, palm sugar.
    Allow it to boil
  3. When the tea just starts to boil, turn the heat down to low and simmer for 10 minutes.

  4. Cool it to lukewarm, pour it in a serving glass, and squeeze some lemon juice.


Note
  • Even though any of these above ingredients have no side effects, excess of any things harms your body. So use it moderately.
  • If the cinnamon powder is not available you can add a piece of cinnamon stick.
  • Any usage of refined sugar will suppress the benefits of turmeric tea. Therefore it is good to use unrefined healthy sugar alternatives like honey, dates sugar, palm sugar, jaggery, sugar candy, maple syrup, etc.
  • If you are using honey, it is better to add it once the tea is lukewarm.
